My Story
Thanks so much for visiting this fundraising page. Anna and I are doing the Shine Night Walk again this year in memory of our wonderful, brave Mum. A huge amount of investigation and great care from many people was taken in diagnosing Mum’s cancer as soon as possible – the type of which was rare – and this was key in starting treatment. The impact of early diagnosis is significant; for 8 of the most common types of cancer, survival is more than 3 times higher when cancer is diagnosed early. So many incredible people along the way supported our family, and this is our chance to shine a light in memory of our lovely Mum, and do something that will hopefully help to benefit and support others. Every pound raised funds life-saving research. We will take a light on behalf of every donation, so you will be shining with us! Diolch yn fawr for reading our page and supporting us.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
