13 mile walk along the coast
Sun 14 Mar 2021
Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured Here is my story and why this charity touches my heart ❤ On the 14th of March 2020 my dad was rushed to hospital after having a fit and our lives changed forever. scans showed five tumors in his brain (one being the size of a tension ball), they told us dad has secondary cancer that had spread to the brain, Two weeks later after more tests dad was diagnosed with stag 4 non small cell lung cancer that had already began to spread to the surrounding lumph nodes and brain. It was already in its most aggressive form and quickly started to take over dads body leaving him with life changing side affects. from this point we was told that he was terminal and the only treatment available was to make him comfortable improve his symptoms and hopfuly prolong his life in some way. Dad underwent palative radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy along with taking high doses of daily steroids and anti fit medication. Sadly dad lost his battle on the 14th of August 2020 aged just 49. I am signing myself up to walk a 13 mile walk (the equivalent to a half marathon) starting from worthing peir and finishing at Brighton peir I am doing this to hopfuly raise enough money to help anyone out there who has been affected by such a awful disease, and in memory of such a amazing dad ❤
