My Mum & Edward Pettit

In memory of

Edward Pettit

12 Jan 1960 - 17 Jun 2016

I am taking part in race for life for my 6th year in a row. I want raise as much money as I can for cancer research this charity is very close to my heart.

My motivation is My Mum Jenny & my boyfriends Dad Edward.

After finding out in 2012 that my mum had breast cancer my life felt like it was crashing around me, you always hear of people getting cancer but you never think it's going to happen to your or someone you love. My mums breast cancer was found after her first ever mammogram
Luckily the cancer was found early and she underwent surgery where she had the cancer removed, after surgery she had Radiotherapy every day for 8 weeks, almost 5 years later she is lucky enough to still be here to tell her story, she has been in remission for five years and recently went for her yearly mammogram that we are currently waiting for the results. If it wasn't for people raising money and kind people for donating my mum wouldn't be here today to tell her story!!

Unfortunately my boyfriends Dad Edward lost his life last year to leukemia after a long battle with the disease for 2 years he was taken from us in June 2016, all thought it breaks our hearts to know he is no longer with us, with out the help and support from charity such as cancer research he wouldn't of even had the fraction of a chance that he was given to fight the disease. Race for life last year was truly the hardest event i have taken part in so far, with the race being just 2 days after Edwards funeral it was a very hard and emotional day. nearly a year later after his passing we are still trying to come to terms with it all, but are truly greatful he was given that chance everyone deserves.

With the support of kind people together we can beat cancer.
I would be grateful if your could sponsor me to show your support to such a amazing charity.

Thank you for taking a moment of your time to read my story and show your support it means alot. Please remember......
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me big or small makes a difference.

Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. If you would rather sponsor me through a sponsor form I do have some so do feel free to contact me. Once again thank you for your support it makes a big difference to someone's life.
