Sophie's fundraising 21

Hi all, I am doing Race for Life in October in Derby. I am hoping to raise some money towards Cancer research. I have obviously always known Cancer was around, some of my family have had it past and present. However I truly knew it was here the day it hit very close to home, my step dad was diagnosed not too long ago and it hit the family like a tonne of bricks, it was obviously a shock and turned his world around in a moment. He has dealt with it brilliantly, despite the major struggles he faces and has faced after surgery. We still don't know what the future hold, but he is getting through it day by day. He has the support of all his and my mums family and friends and we all pray for positive news. This 5k I am doing is obviously for everyone that is fighting or fought cancer past, present and future but I will be doing it with my step dad and mum in mind the whole way round and praying for a future they deserve, growing old happy together.
