My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This August, I’m jogging 31 miles in the month to help beat cancer. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. I lost my beautiful mum to Cancer nearly thirteen years ago which broke my heart and now this year I’ve had my own battle to fight. I was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma, skin cancer at the beginning of this year after months of worry and knowing deep down something wasn’t right. I chose not to tell anyone , I didn’t want my boys to know the truth of why I was having surgery or family I didn’t want to worry anyone , we’ve all got our own problems to deal with.I just wanted to fight through it as best as I could. The thought of putting my two boys through what I had been through with my mum was terrifying. I am now about nine weeks post second surgery, I have been given the all clear, no cancer spread to the lymph node removed and the skin around my first scar and second mole removed 😀 my right arm pit and down the back of my arm is still numb but I am hopeful it will comeback in time and it’s not holding me back 💪🏻 I am a very private person and never over share personal details 🤷🏼♀️😁 but If you catch it early it can save your life so I’m hoping to raise awareness this month and hopefully help some of my friends by sharing ❤️
