My Story
The pandemic has hit everyone hard, but when one of my closest friends a ‘go to girl’ was taken away far too soon from cancer just before lockdown last year, it left a hole in my life that I’m still struggling to come to terms with. I will admit that it`s taken time to adjust to the shock of her not being here, and for most of the last year I was living in a fog and hardly left the house. Thankfully that fog is slowly lifting and I’m adjusting to the fact that she is not going to be there for me at the end of the phone. Cancer needn’t be a killer, so in my friends memory and to raise funds for Cancer Research to help beat the tragedy of cancer, I’m doing a half-marathon with a couple of my friends under the banner Nexwomen Entrepreneurs. Our logo depicts a hummingbird which symbolizes joy and happiness, in her favourite colours. Giving to any charity is the ultimate win-win selfless act, so rather than simply asking people to put their hands ever deeper into their pockets, I’ve partnered with a commercial energy broker and will be donating all the commission that I might otherwise receive to Cancer Research UK. If you are a business or commercial landlord looking to save time and money by getting a broker to search the market for you to get a better deal whilst at the same time getting to feel good about yourself, then please get in touch with me - Sonia Lambert - via email on sgb247services@gmail.com You can also show your support by donating £1.00 which collectively will make a huge difference. In memory of my dear friend and all those who have lost friends, family and loved ones. Let’s beat Cancer together. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound will make a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work. Donate to my Giving Page today and help bring forward the day when we can all make a difference.
