My Story
Cancer is something I had very little knowledge of until this time last year when it unexpectedly entered my families' life. Seeing a member of my family go through emergency surgery and on-going treatment really opened my eyes to the harsh reality of cancer and exposed me to the reality of just how much pain and suffering it causes. It has definitely changed everyday life for me and my family but we are so lucky that the scientific research to date was able to offer the treatment and support necessary for us to face it so far. Although the battle is nowhere near over, we are so thankful for the research that has allowed us to come this far with treatment and I would like to do my bit and give something back in hope that one day people won't have to go through this.
