My Story
On the 18th September 2017 I received the call no-one wants to get, "I'm sorry it's Cancer". At just 25 years old I was diagnosed with stage 2 cervical cancer. It was a rare and aggressive form of cancer (just my luck). I have been through 25 sessions of external radiotherapy, 5 sessions of chemotherapy and 3 sessions of brachytherapy (internal radiation) over a course of almost 7 weeks. I now have to wait 3 months before I can have the checks which will determine whether I have beat it or not. My life is forever changed now and I have to adapt to certain changes to my body and lifestyle forever. But I am alive and so far I have a future I will continue to fight for. There have been some people who have not been so lucky and during my journey I met wonderful people who's time is limited. Cancer sucks and I will do what I can to help every single person who wants to fight and who wants to win what seems like a never end war. My mother and 3 of my lovely friends are running by my side to raise money for Cancer Research UK. So donate today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Donating through these pages is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
