Sion's Race for Life

10 of us have joined forces to battle pretty muddy this year! “The muddy mongooses” will be taking part to raise as much money as possible for cancer research! We will be getting muddy for our own “mongoose” Ann Regan who has fought and continues to fight cancer with a smile on her face everyday! Even after her 3rd cancer diagnosis she continues to be the life and soul of the party and teaches us all you can do anything you put your mind too! For Greta (Suzi’s Mum). Greta was diagnosed with breast cancer aged 47 and then again secondary breast cancer aged 70! Despite the odds and harsh treatment, Greta fought cancer for a further 11 years before losing her battle aged 81 this year! We know Greta would be very proud of Suzi and all of the team for raising as much money as possible in her memory! Also For Maureen McAllister (Amy’s partners mum) who sadly lost her 4 year battle with cancer last year. And for Ann(Lorna’s sister) who fought and won her battle with breast cancer! All of these women know first hand the importance of money raised for cancer research so we hope as a team we can do them proud and raise as much money as possible!
