My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. I have been fortunate enough to be given one of Dame Deborah James’s places for this event which has given me even more drive and determination to run this event. Another family who will soon face the sheer devastation of having to continue through life without their mum, wife, daughter, etc. This shouldn’t be happening and to many families are having to face this reality on a daily basis. My family are fortunate that our amazing mum has now been in remission for over a year and she is a huge part of mine and my brothers children’s lives but this is something we know never to taken for granted and we are forever thankful for. I will therefore continue to run the race for life each year to raise money in the hope that one day we can live in a world free of cancer and to remind myself how lucky I am to be able to run and never take my own health for granted; whilst remembering all those who have been taken to early by this cruel disease and those families whose lives have never been the same again. #rebellioushope #formum #fightcancer
