I am running (yes running - you read right) Race for Life in memory of the most generous, smart and kind-hearted woman I have ever known. Julia Bonus or Sam to me lost her battle with cancer in August 2016 and it quite simply should not have happened. Unfortunately, 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their life. Every penny that is donated will go into ground-breaking research to ensure more people survive this indiscriminate disease. Those who know me well will know that the only time I run is when it's last orders at the bar and so running 5km is quite a feat! So please give as generously as you can and let's beat cancer sooner!

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
