My Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page! My name is Owen Foster and I am 16 years old. I originally set up Sing Up To Cancer back in 2018. The reason in which this fundraiser was set up was because my nan, Lynda Coster who was diagnosed with cancer 4 times, sadly passed away in March of 2018. She was an inspiration to everyone she met. She was so strong and whatever she was going through there was always had a smile on her face. I wanted the fundraiser to help people and families that were in the same position. The original fundraiser in 2018 raised over £2600. I now want to carry on Sing Up To Cancer With a Musical because sadly this year I lost another truly inspirational Person to cancer. Her name was Sarah Jessop. Not only was she my drama teacher, she was a friend and like family to everyone at the drama school. Even though she had a diagnosis of cancer she carried on teaching and making us smile and happy every saturday and was still there to listen to you no matter what. This year we were planning to hold Sing Up to Cancer With A Musical 2 but due to current circumstances we aren’t able to. BUT WE WON'T LET THIS STOP THE FIGHT!
