Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my page. I just want to tell you about something that's happening soon and I really hope you can help. On September 8th I'll be running in the Great North Run in Newcastle on behalf of Cancer Research UK. It's the biggest half marathon in the world, and it just happens to be in my home town. The day will mean a lot to me personally. As most of you reading this will probably know in September last year my mum lost her 3 year battle with cancer. It's a truly awful disease that on average affects 1 in 3 of us. As such I realise myself and my family are not alone in being affected or in suffering a loss, and I imagine many of you reading this will relate to my experience in some way. My mum never liked a fuss being made and always put others first throughout her life and throughout her illness. So in a way this is what I would like this page to represent, no fuss, just your generous donations to help others. I have a £500 target to reach. With your help I'm looking to absolutely smash it! Thank you for reading and hopefully donating. Simon x
