I met Valentina at antenatal classes back in 2018. Our boys were born that year within 2 weeks of each other. During our maternity leave we spent a lot of time walking together all over London, us and the two boys in their pushchairs. Thanks to all that walking (and chatting), we have become very good friends. During the first lockdown, we found out we were both pregnant again and our second children - another two boys - were born in January within 4 days of each other. What a coincidence! We decided we would start our daily walks again. When we came across the ‘Walk 10,000 steps a day this March’ event, we thought it would be a great way of getting something good out of our walks, instead of doing it just to get back in our pre-pregnancy clothes (which was never really our reason for doing it anyway, more an excuse). So, if you feel like it, you can join us and donate to Cancer Research UK.
