My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. Back in November my Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer after a receiving the results from a routine mammogram. Since she has been on what we call 'The Cancer Treadmill' she has received the best treatment and care possible. This has all made her journey through this much more bearable and we are so grateful to the staff who have looked after her and for the system that is in place that helped detect the cancer. I am doing this race to not only honour the memory of the dear friends and family i have lost to this ruthless disease, but to support the system that detected Mum's cancer and is giving her the best care and treatment possible. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
