Since losing both of my parents to cancer I have had an ambition to work for a cancer charity and help make a difference. Working for CRUK continues to amaze me when you see the passion and dedication of the staff of whom most have been affected by cancer in their lives so far. The research funding, influencing the government, working directly with GPs, keeping cancer high up on the media agenda as well as nurses supporting patients are all things that make CRUK great. COVID-19 has had a significant impact on cancer services and we have continued to work hard to support patients and services. The Early Diagnosis Team at CRUK are doing a marathon relay to raise money which equates to 3.7 miles each. I will be doing my part on holiday in Devon next week. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please donate to my Giving Page today! If you’d like to join the Race for Life at Home community, then sign up at raceforlife.org/athome We might be apart, but we’re doing this together.
