My mum who passed away because of lung and brain cancer.
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. We have all sadly lost a loved one, a friend, a work collegue or a neighbour etc to Cancer at some point in our lives which is the reason that research must continue with the help of fundraising so that more effective treatment can be found for all the many types of cancer that affect so many.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
