SHMA Shave
My Story
Shakespeare Martineau are supporting Cancer Research UK as our charity partner from June 2017-2020. Ben Buckton, Chief Marketing and People Officer, and IT Director, Dal Virdi, have put their heads together (from a socially acceptable distance) to see how they can help our charity partner, Cancer Research UK. The pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charities with the cancellation of thousands of fundraising events and so they’ve put a date in their diary for the SHMA Shave on 14 May! Yes, they’ll be shaving their heads in a bid to raise £5,000 for CRUK so please give generously! Rest a-sheared that all money raised will help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. So please dig deep and shear them on! 20/05/20: UPDATE: The (bald) boys are back in town! Ben Buckton and Dal Virdi waved goodbye to bad hair days and embraced cool heads instead. They've raised over £6,000 (including gift aid) for our charity partner Cancer Research UK who are trying to bring forward the day when all cancers can be beaten. All donors were in with a chance to win two places in an executive box at Aston Villa, complete with full hospitality. Please note the winner has now been chosen so the prize draw has been closed. The page will remain open for the foreseeable future to accept donations.
