My Story
In 2016 my niece, Eloise, my Dad and friend, Kat were all in their own battle with cancer. It's so true when people say cancer doesn't just effect the person going through it. Seeing those you love go through physical changes and emotional stresses, it effects you too in its own way. Cancer treatments have come along in so many ways over the years that have helped with Eloise, My Dad and Kat survive cancer and praise God for that provision. Sadly the cost of beating cancer is rarely without consequences. Whilst Eloise is cancer free, she now faces new challenges and has a lifelong journey ahead of her. My Dad is in pain most days following his operation and feels very low and whilst Kat has finished her chemo and also underwent surgery, she still has to have various treatment in the future. I'm doing this run to raise money, not just so we can carry on beating cancer, but for ongoing treatment that's needed when the cancer has been beaten, both physical and psychological... It's true to say that all you can do is watch and feel completely helpless, but I'm trying to help by doing this run with my friends and raise money for a positive future for all when it comes to cancer...
