Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Last year I took part in the Race for Life with my sister and members of our family, just as she came to the end of a difficult and emotional year of treatment. This year, although cancer continues to cast a shadow over us, we are so thankful to know that she is still cancer free. This year we are all taking part in the Race for Life once again, to thank Cancer Research for all they do to combat this disease; in memory of those close to us who we have lost and to support those who are still fighting.
