My Story
On the 13th of December 2017 we as a family received the devastating blow that our mummys cancer had returned with a vengeance, the fight from the word go that she put up was courageous and admiring to watch as she never once complained. Sadly through further complications and just a day shy of being two months diagnosed mummy sadly passed away at aged just 53. So we as a team have decided to run the 10k ‘race for life’ and raise money as our goal is to give back what she received, the care, compassion from everyone and most of all money for research to finally get this monster under control. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
