My Story
I lost my mum when i was 9 years old back in 1981 to a rare form of Cancer back then. The research has come a long way since then but still not far enough. My Father in Law suffered from Cancer also and he was in remission which was fantastic news unfortunately he passed away suddenly. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
