I'm taking part in Dryathlon this October to raise money for Cancer Research
My Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. In July of this year at the young ol’ age of 47 I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. Early detection was key. Successful surgery followed in August and I have now started a course of twenty Radiotherapy treatments ... my last will be Friday 23rd November, after which I am hoping, along with the help of five years of hormone therapy, to be able to celebrate being Cancer free. Sadly, Most of us have or will know someone fighting cancer during our lifetime so I have chosen to take the opportunity to help raise money for Cancer Research by way of staying sober in October! Those who know me will know how much of a challenge it will be as I do like a glass of wine or three and as I have a reputation for throwing my drinks over unsuspecting friends, I’m sure they’ll be relieved to hear this! Any donation would be very gratefully received for such a very worthy cause. Many thanks.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
