To raise money for this brilliant charity that has helped so many people
In memory of
My Nanna Bet, My Grandad Baldy, My Grandad Steve and My Nanny
The reason I’m taking part in the race for life for the third time is to raise money and awareness for this horrible disease that has taken many loved ones away from me. In 2008 my Nanna Bet sadly passed away. Two years later we had the sad news that my Grandad Baldy gained his wings after finding out he was battling with pancreatic cancer. He wasn’t just my Grandad he was my best friend so this has had a huge impact on my life. Later on in 2019 my Grandad Steve’s battle with bowel cancer came to an end after 5 years, which left a huge hole in my heart. In 2021 we had the heart breaking news that my beautiful Nan had been diagnosed with breast cancer. But I’m happy to say she fought very hard and was lucky enough to win her battle. I’m so proud of her! However not everyone is as lucky as my Nan, which is why raising awareness and money for this charity is so important to help and support people who have been in my position or are going through it now💜💙💗
