My Story
On 27th March 2023, my mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer following a pain in her left breast. She has since had four lymph nodes removed and on the 30th May will be having a full Mastectomy. We are only at the start of her journey and we know there may be tough times ahead but for all those who know her will know how incredibly positive and simply amazing she is. In 2019, my auntie Maria was diagnosed with lung cancer, thanks to the amazing research undertaken, she is living with cancer after being matched with a game changing drug. Without cancer research, the journey for my mum, Maria and many other loved ones could be so different which is why my family and I (including my 85 year old Granny) are doing the Shine Walk. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work. Donate to my Giving Page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
