My Story
In February 2020 we lost our wonderful Mother, Jenny Julius, to Colon Cancer at only 49 years old. She fought a painful and tragically short battle with a disease that unfortunately continues to take people away from their families and loved ones far too soon. This amazing woman was so much more to us than a parent, she was our friend, our idol and our constant source of love and support. She taught us, by example, to be the confident black women that we are today, and even in her darkest hour still showed an heroic amount of humour, strength and resillance. Her tragic loss left a hole in the lives of everyone that knew her and her absence is felt sorely everyday. This month my sister and I are running Race for Life in memory of a woman so special, so loving, so unique and so funny that heaven couldn't wait to have her. We hope the money raised will provide vital funding for the treatment and prevention of cancer so that less people are affected by this awful condition, and those that are have kinder and more effective treatment. We know times are hard but anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated! Mom... Know that we miss you so so much and continue to do all that we can to make you proud. Miss you always, friend... Lots of love, your girls Shannen and Leah x
