2018 Simplyhealth Great South Run

Running 10 miles to show Dad that if I can be positive and overcome running he can overcome Cancer!!
Dad was told he had Cancer in April 2018 after going for a check up for a lump in his neck, which turned out to be a secondary tumour. It was a shock to the whole family. The primary cancer was then found in the back of his throat and cut out. Dad had radiotherapy for 7 weeks and it has been really hard, but he is starting to eat and taste again, so we are now awaiting further scans and test results. We decided to do the Great South Run so that Dad can see us working really hard to reach our goal, which in turn means he has to work really hard to reach his goal- beating Cancer!! I hate running, as you probably all know I love cycling and I would much prefer to cycle but I want to take on this challenge. 10 miles may not seem a lot, but a few weeks ago I could not even run 1 mile!! (Thank God for Adam, my lovely trainer!!) I am running with my Brother Ben Dewis, Boyfriend Adam Raynor and Good Friend Lydia Robinson- we are called 'David's Crew'! Please have a look at their fundraising pages also! Our aim is to raise £1,000 for Cancer Research, £250 each and with your generosity I know we can make that! I am very close to my Dad and love him with all my heart so any donation, big or small would mean the world to fight this illness! Come on Dad, stay positive and keep fighting- we are all in this together <3 LET'S DO THIS and let's beat Cancer sooner!!!
