My Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our 'Breast Cancer Research' fundraising page. This October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are raising funds to support life-saving research, patient care, and awareness programs. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference and your support will help provide vital resources for those affected by breast cancer and bring hope to countless families. One of our colleagues shared: "When I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, last year, 'Breast Cancer Now' were a tremendous support throughout my journey. Aside from funding vital research, they provide excellent information and support services for anyone affected by breast cancer. Their resources cover all stages of the process through their website, leaflets, and events. What made the biggest difference to me was their 'Ask Our Nurses' helpline, which I cannot thank enough. When you’re sitting on the sofa with your mind racing, it’s reassuring to know you can pick up the phone and have your questions answered straight away. Their website also offers a forum which is a positive, friendly space to connect with others going through the same journey. While I’ve been very fortunate to have supportive family, friends, and colleagues, there are some things that can only be truly understood by those who have walked this road. That’s where the support from 'Breast Cancer Now' makes such a difference, they are experts who provide both practical advice and emotional understanding. Importantly, their support doesn’t end when treatment does. Their Moving Forward programme is a wonderful initiative, helping men and women find the tools and confidence they need to move forward after primary breast cancer treatment because there is no ‘back to normal’ once you’ve finished your hospital treatment. No one ever wants to walk this road, but having 'Breast Cancer Now' by your side makes it a lot easier. Please join us in supporting this important cause. Together, we can make a difference!
