Thank you for visiting the Sentura Rutland Walk Challenge Fundraising Page. The money we raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent charity dedicated to cancer research and carries out scientific research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. The charity funds scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner, as well as providing cancer information to the public. Its ground-breaking work, funded almost entirely by the public, will ensure that millions more people survive cancer. Over the last 40 years the survival rate has doubled thanks to the great progress research has made. Sentura's Managing Director Laurie Pollard said: ‘We wanted to raise money for Cancer Research as some members of the team as well as their families and friends have been affected by cancer so it is a cause close to our hearts’.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
