My name is Scarlett Nichols and I am 10 years old. I will be taking part in the Race for Life Pretty Muddy KIds in Stoke-on-Trent on 15 September 2019. Cancer is happening right now, I am taking part in memory of my friend Geoff who died from cancer in June this year and I want to raise as much money as I can to help save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Cancer has taken many lives, my nanna and my cousin Ethan both had it but fortunately they survived and are happy and healthy thanks to cancer research. Yet some are not so lucky like my good friend Grumpy Geoff who was like a grandad to me. I am happy that we are doing something about cancer and it is great that we are raising money, not in a boring, serious way but in a way that we can enjoy ourselves and know that we are doing something good. I know that some day we will have a cure though right now let’s show cancer who’s boss! Please sponsor me, as little or as much as you can afford. Thank you all Scarlett xx
