I thought I would put running away from responsibility on hold and try running the Race For Life.

We all know someone who has had a battle with cancer; some people win and some lose. My Granddad lost his battle with cancer in 2011. For this reason, my cousin and I decided to enter the Race For Life. Let's talk about the stats: As of 2015, 2.5 million people in the UK are living with cancer with this figure expecting to rise to 4 million by 2030. Only 46.7% of cases are expected to survive for at least ten years (Macmillan Cancer Support, 2017). We can do something about those statistics. By donating and helping to raise the money needed to fund research, we can beat these odds. If that's not enough incentive, what will be?
