My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This June, I’m walking 100 miles in the month to help beat cancer. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. Cancer has affected our family so much in the last 6 years. For those of you who don’t k now Issys dad Neil was diagnosed with bowel cancer 6 years ago. Sadly he lost his fight just Over 2 years later. 4 months after he died my amazing stepdad Rob was also diagnosed with bowel cancer. To say this was a shock to all of us was an understatement. 2 and half years later he lost his fight. Losing them has left a massive hole in our lives. When Neil was poorly issy decided to do the Race for Life and has raised money for cancer research every year since. Even in lockdown. We will be doing the 100 mile challenge in June and hopefully raise some money to help in the fight against cancer.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
