Sarah's Walk All Over Cancer Fundraising Page
In memory of
My mum, Dorothy Briggs
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. If you don’t know my story, I was diagnosed with incurable kidney cancer - a nasty, aggressive form called Sarcomatoid Renal Cell Carcinoma - in September 2017 when I broke my femur. It came completely out of the blue as I had few symptoms. Twenty eight months later, I have a rod in my left leg and am minus my left kidney. I am so lucky to have been cancer free after my two surgeries and have been able to do so many things on my bucket list! Please help Cancer Research to help find a cure for this bloody awful disease. I truly believe we are getting there. The treatments now available and the advances in immunotherapy mean that I have options out there now, if the worst were to happen, and that wasn’t true in September 2017. Whatever you can spare goes a long way!
