Sarah's Veg Pledge
I'm going vegetarian this November for Cancer Research UK - this is not a drill...!!
In memory of
Arthur Stanley
19th Dec 1927 - 7th Sep 2001
Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Veg Pledge page. This November, I will be going vegetarian for Cancer Research UK. You may know that my son Arthur was named after my grandad Arthur Stanley, AKA Nanpop, who was my absolute hero. He's the reason I'm a Notts County supporter, and he was taken from us by cancer in 2001. Arthur will never know his namesake, but Nanpop's memory will always live on, and me doing this fundraiser means that hopefully other children will get to meet their grandparents and hear the stories about them from the horses mouth, rather than from those of us who remember them. Also, I cannot stress enough how much I bloody love meat so this challenge will be tough.... What do vegetarians eat on Sundays for a start?! The money I raise will help fund life-saving research to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
