Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in THREE Races for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. I was diagnosed with invasive Breast Cancer in June 2014, but after 2 ops, 6 months of chemo and 3 weeks of radiotherapy I was given the “all clear”. (Thanks to the care I received at West Suffolk and Addenbrookes Hospitals). Last Autumn, I decided that it was time to improve my fitness, so took up weekly 5k “Park Run” (great fun, but initially more park walk than run!) As a result of this, I am aiming to complete THREE Races for Life at Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and Colchester. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
