I'm taking part in Race for Life again this year to raise money to beat cancer sooner

In memory of

Aunty Shirley, Jane and Anne - three wonderful ladies in my life

My Story

This is my 14th year of running Race for Life and I can't thank you all enough for your sponsorship and support. This year I am running the race of three people. Firstly my wonderful dad who has just come out of hospital having had his lung cancer removed. At the ripe old age of 91 he is certainly a miracle man! The other two people are firstly Wendy, my "Bosom Buddy" who is the most inspirational person you could meet. Her breast cancer returned last year in her liver and bones but she continues to fight from all cylinders and always with a big smile on her face and frequent "red lips" days. The other person is my old boss who I recently found out has terminal cancer. I was so upset to hear the news and will support his family as much as I can. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
