My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. Everyone you know has somehow been affected by cancer. I watched my Granda Walter go through a horrific cancer and he was gone within weeks, which was heartbreaking. Then I lost the most amazing woman and my hero, Granny Pat, and it was the single most hardest thing I’ve ever been through. Recently, my best friend Mel lost her beautiful mum Janice, and she has been the bravest person since. Losing someone to cancer is hard, and watching someone you love go through that pain is devastating. We want to help Mel every step of the way by running this race with her. I’m running the Race for Life in honour of Jan and in memory of my Granny and Granda. Please consider honouring them too by sponsoring, even in a small way.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
