Sarah's Race for Life
Bath 5k 2018
Sun 8 Jul 2018
Can’t believe it’s eight years ago since I did the race for life in memory of Rich - one of the bravest people I’ve ever known. A true fighter and determined to make the most of his life until the very end, and a real inspiration to all those who knew him and saw for themselves the courage, dignity and humour with which he faced his diagnosis. I am going to take part in the race for life again this year, and this time as well as being for Rich it will also be in memory of his nephew Connor, an amazing and truly lovely young man who again battled so bravely against this cruel disease, only to be taken from his family at just 12 years old. Finally I want to run in support of my beautiful, brave mum who only last week ran her own race for life after successfully completing treatment and being given the all clear from bowel cancer last year. I’m not much of a runner but want to do my bit for all those who have suffered or are suffering now because of cancer, and in the hope that one day a cure will be found. Any amount you can spare to sponsor me would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading xx
