My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. It broke my heart to watch them go through such a terrible time and such hard going treatments. As I write this I’m tearful, it is such a brutal illness and I have such admiration for anyone who has had or has cancer. You are the hero’s of this world. I honestly don’t think I could have coped with losing my hair, the vicious side affects of the drugs, having to accept having a boob removed to mention but a few of the hideous consequences of the cancer. It makes me feel sick that people go through this and I wish with all my heart that cancer research can and do more to help people with cancer, this is why I’m running.
