My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Currently, I am in the middle of an Ulcerative Colitis Flare-Up and unable to work on the advice of my doctor, as he has advised me to rest and avoid stress. I saw this challenge and as I enjoy knitting to keep my mind calm and find it relaxing. I’m completing the Knitting Challenge this November to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Just 30 minutes a day when feeling at my least exhausted. We lost our Granddad to this disease, my sister lost one of her dearest friends and at the moment I have alot of friends, either fighting or supporting people fighting this evil illness. Therefore when I saw the sponsored knit, it seemed the right time to use this period of rest and healing to also help others. I'd be very grateful if you could please show your support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page. Please don't do this for me, do it for the people you love and care about the most, because only together can we beat cancer.

CAUSE

All Cancer Types

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
