Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. My story started with a little graze appearing on my forehead that just wouldn’t heal - 9 months later they confirm it’s a Basel Cell Carcinoma - the nicer of the skin cancers because it doesn’t spread through your body. Approximately 80% of the population will get it so don’t leave it settle its roots and live off you, don’t think it’s something of nothing and will heal on its own, don’t feel stupid for wanting to get that small little graze seen too. In one month mine has grown from 8mm to 10mm - how big will it get if I leave it? How much more of my skin will they need to cut away if I do nothing about it?
