Sat 23 Sep 2017 - Sat 23 Sep 2017
All our friends and family who have suffered and survived cancer, and my fiance's nan, Isabel.
My Story
Next Saturday (September 23rd) the Vezmar ladies (that’s Judy (aka medical mum, the instigator and fully qualified nurse of over 30 years), Stack-it-Steph (the middle sister, giggler and proud dog owner), Crazy Cat (the youngest, the dawdler) and me (the eldest and the organiser) are doing the London Shine Walk. A half marathon night walk for Cancer Research. We are walking in aid of loved ones who have been affected by cancer. Our auntie Frances, and mum’s sister, our grandparents, our dad’s sister, Auntie Pam who passed away a couple of months ago and my fiancé’s nan, Isabel, who is currently in hospital with stomach cancer. We hope to raise a bit of money to help fund vital research so that in years to come we can find a cure for this terrible disease. Embarrassingly our mum has gathered over £200 worth of sponsors whilst us sisters have got a tenner between us… AWKS! Please help if you feel you can. Thank you for taking time to visit my page. Sarah :-) _____ Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
