My Story
Cancer touches all of us at some point in our lives, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money to support life saving research. As a researcher funded by Cancer Research UK, I see every day the difference that your support can make in our fight against cancer. Every little helps to fund our research. For example, my team are developing new non-invasive imaging technologies that can detect cancer earlier. I dislike running, most of you know that. But I am a willing victim of the Race for Life and I hope that you will support me. Last time in 2015 I ran a 56 minute race, so I'm now training to try and beat that time. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
