Cancer leaves its footprint on everyone involved, I want to raise as much money to banish cancer
At the age of 19 I was diagnosed with Cancer, I have been in remission following high dose chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant in 2010. Even though I have been in remission, cancer still has an impact on my life. I have regular tests and a regular reminder that life can turn by one of these. I am lucky, i have a fantastic job in Oncology Research here on the Island and see the amazing difference treatment makes to patients and the extremely sad situations when there is no treatment options. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money, is even more of a challenge for me as I don't have the highest fitness levels. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
