My grandad, was never ill he never went to the doctors or hospital he was stubborn like that never wanted to be a pain or fuss to no one. In May 2016 my grandad was feeling ill and was taken to hospital he had lots of tests done and was told he had terminal cancer what was more devastating was that we were told he had less then nine months grandad had lots more hospital appointments over the coming weeks but come July 2016 grandad took a turn for the worse he was given limited time. We were blessed with having him being looked after by st Margaret's hospice who treated him like a king in his final days. cancer is happening right now, which is why my brother and mum and I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
