Sarah Walks All Over Cancer

“There is no exercise better than reaching down and lifting others up.” Well, that and walking 10,000 steps a day, every day, for a month. Or punching cancer in the face. Which is what we would all do if it was a person. Cancer has an affect on most, if not all, of us – taking away friends, family and colleagues. Some people fight it and gloriously win their battle. For others, the battle comes too late. And some live with it, a constant burden on their psyche. There are those that live in its shadow, terrified of their inheritance and take sometimes drastic preventative measures. And there are those that are fighting it – right now. Right in this moment. Those silent warriors walk amongst us. That’s why I’m supporting Cancer Research. It’s not just to find a cure to cancer; it’s to – • Research more ways to prevent cancer. • Influence the Government to raise awareness of various ways lifestyle choices can affect cancer risk in individuals. • Support the science behind cancer treatments. • Support people with cancer gaining access to treatments. • Work with the NHS to ensure early diagnosis of cancer. It’s for the people we’ve lost. It’s for the people who’ve battled. It’s for the people still battling. It’s for all of us. Please support me (and my dog) in our 10,000 step a day endeavour.
