Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. I have had various family members die from cancer over the years and it is not a pain I want anyone to go through. The older we get the chances of developing cancer increases. We have technology and knowledge to help stop it but it can only be realised with the appropriate funding. Bowel cancer
Over the past 40 years there's been dramatic progress in tackling bowel cancer and half of people diagnosed will now survive for at least 10 years. But with bowel cancer still claiming around 43 lives each day, more research still needs to be done. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.
