My Story
This September I am walking 1 mile a day to help awareness of Male Breast Cancer. In April 24 my husband and dad to my 2 kids found a lump in his left breast. After a week waiting for a GP appointment, they referred him to fast track breast clinic in York, where he had an ultrasound and mammogram, and biopsies of his breast and lymph nodes. 1 week later it was confirmed as Stage 3 Breast Cancer. 2 weeks later he had a total Left Mastectomy, where it was reveled to have been found in 25/30 nodes. He is now undergoing chemotherapy, followed by radiotherapy, plus many other treatments. The genetic testing also reveled he has the BRCA2 gene, meaning there is a 1/2 chance of his kids having the gene. Please give to this amazing cause so that more people are aware that Men can get Breast Cancer 🎀 and more lives can be saved to this horrible disease.
