My Mum

In 2009, I lost my Mum to cancer and also my Uncle in the same year, and in 2012 I lost my Grandma to cancer too. So, when I was asked to take part in this Pretty Muddy event (after initially hesitating!) I thought that it would be a great way of having fun in their memory, whilst also raising money for Cancer Research. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
