My Story
In 2009, I lost my Mum to cancer and also my Uncle in the same year, and in 2012 I lost my Grandma to cancer too. So, when I was asked to take part in this Pretty Muddy event (after initially hesitating!) I thought that it would be a great way of having fun in their memory, whilst also raising money for Cancer Research. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
