My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our Giving Page. On July 3rd, having completed GCSE and university exams, we are embarking on an 800 mile cycle to raise money for Cancer Research UK. We will be cycling from our home in Kingston upon Thames to the Alps above Val Pellice in Northern Italy, camping overnight and carrying all our equipment on our bikes. We’re aiming to complete the journey in 12 days. Our Mum, Michaela, at 45 years old, was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, but having returned in 2022, it has devastatingly developed into Stage 4 secondary breast cancer and spread to multiple sites. Our Dad, Andy, was also treated for prostate cancer inbetween her diagnoses in 2021, (thankfully currently in remission!) and so, understandably, this is a cause which is extremely important to us. We will be posting updates and photos to document our progress throughout the journey, so please keep an eye on the page to see how we’re getting on! We have set a modest target of £1000, so please sponsor us with as little or as much as you can, and hopefully we can smash this target and donate to such an important and vital cause. Thank you, Sam and Josh x “Cancer is happening right now, which is why we’re fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to our page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.”
